My buddy Brock Booher came up with a wonderful idea for the book launch party of his latest novel, The Charity Chip. He is going to have a charity auction at the party with the proceeds from the auction going to benefit the House of Refuge.
House of Refuge provides transitional housing and support services for families in need. Many of the residents of the House of Refuge come from situations of domestic violence and this offers the chance to start over, away from an environment of abuse.
The event takes place June 26th, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the San Tan Barnes & Noble in Gilbert. This is a great venue, the store is two stories tall and the staff is really friendly and helpful. In addition to meeting five fabulous authors (myself included) you can bid on items that the authors have put up for auction. Brock Booher, Janette Rallison, Adrienne Quintana, Laura Walker, and Randy Lindsay will all be there. And here are the items you can bid on.

Author Visit by Adrienne Quintana – Adrienne will visit your classroom, office, book club, or private gathering (in Arizona) to perform a reading and teach about the craft of writing.
Author Visit by Randy Lindsay – Randy will visit with the group of your choice and offers to read from his soon to be released novel, Call to Arms: Nations Fall, or discuss the business of getting published and the writing industry in general.
An Autographed Poster – this poster has the images and signatures of Janette Rallison, Brandon Mull, Stephanie Meyer, Shannon Hale, James Owen and several other famous authors.
Character Name in an Upcoming Novel – see your name in Janette Rallison’s next novel. I’m told that the character might even survive to the end of the story.
Character Name in an Upcoming Novel – see your name in Laura Walker’s next novel. Laura offers the possibility that the character might find true love in the process.
Personalized Micro Fiction by Randy Lindsay – Sounds great doesn’t it? The funny thing is that I tried this at a couple of my book signings, but people seemed terrorized at the prospect of having themselves turned into a story. Are you brave enough to venture in the weird mind of Randy Lindsay and find out what he will do with you? Bwa-ha-ha.
