Christmas Star

12/28/2020

Last Monday, the Christmas Star appeared. In this case, the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn occurred at sunset in Arizona. Is this the same Christmas Star that we read about in the Bible? I’m not sure. I had always thought it to be the appearance of a new star in the heavens. But I feel the important point is that a rare astrological event took place in the heavens last week.
The significance of this event is that it falls on the midpoint between two solar eclipses, which cross the North American continent. In 2017, the first of the two solar eclipses took place. The second eclipse will happen April 8, 2024. In terms of meaningful celestial signs, I believe this represents a turning point. This year, 2020, has been tough and rather than taking a turn for the better, this midpoint event likely heralds an era where events get much worse.
I can hear you out there saying, “Thanks. That’s just the kind of news I needed to hear.” But this post isn’t about focusing on the negative. If I’m correct, 2021 will be a horrendous year with more of everything we saw this year . . . amplified. And some new tribulations to boost. The year ahead of us could well be the one that hears the first of the seven trumpets sounded. The trumpets sounded by the angels mentioned in Revelation.
            Revelation 8: 2-7
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Again, I hear you, “None of this is making me feel any better.” Discussion about the grim portents of what might happen isn’t going boost our morale. But what I plan to do with the news this coming year might help. Rather than continue with my Apocalypse posts about how close to the end we really are, I have decided to flip the light switch on and focus on the positive as well as offering suggestion on how we can all get through 2021 safe and sane.
With that in mind, I wish all an interesting and spirit-filled New Year.

Apocalypse Blog: Northern Invasion

One of the difficulties I had in writing the third book in The Gathering series was figuring out a way for China to invade the United States. Loading troops onto naval ships and military aircraft is not feasible because China does not have enough ships and plans to land an effective invasion force. It doesn’t help that a traditional invasion strategy would be apparent as soon as the Chinese launched their ships towards the United States. Our naval and air forces would easily stop the invasion before any of the troops could reach our shores.
Whatever creative solution I found to put a Chinese invasion force on American soil had to have a chance of succeeding and it had to make sense. It seems that all I had to do was to look towards Canada for the perfect situation. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau invited the Chinese military to train with the Canadian Armed Forces, on Canadian soil.

The articles I’ve read doesn’t give a number of troops that were expected to participate, but whatever size of the force, it places them right on our border. No need to go through the elaborate plan that I devised for my story. And it doesn’t need to be a full-sized army. It only needs to be enough troops to seize a dozen, or so, key locations along the West Coast.
Portland immediately comes to mind. Civil unrest in that city and calls to defund the police make it a tempting target for a Chinese invasion. Many citizens of Portland may even welcome a communist regime controlling the city.
Crazy idea? Maybe. But not any crazier than the country being shut down, for months, by the pandemic. Not any crazier than the idea of defunding the police. And not any crazier than an election that has been heavily influenced by China and the U.S. companies being manipulated by China.
Canada. C’mon, man. I thought you were our ally?
