Good news for those of you who have been patiently waiting for the last book in the Gathering series. The manuscript is in the hands of my beta readers. I expect it to be ready in the next month or two.
But you deserve a little something today. How about a glimpse at the cover? Yep, a cover reveal.

The Return - Part 1: Fall of Man is available for pre-sale. The Kindle edition only, until I figure out what's wrong with the other link.
Yes, you read that right. It is part one. I write these books one character at a time and started with Robert. By time I finished his story, I realized that I had the material for two books instead of one. Part 2 is expected to be released before the end of the year. That will be the final book in the series. (Sorry, I know several of you have been asking me to write more.) The Return - Part 1: Fall of Man: Lindsay, Randy: 9781952040061: Amazon.com: Books Book 4 of The Gathering series is done. At least, the writing is done. Still has a few of the publishing steps to go through before it's available to everyone. Reaction to the story by my BETA readers has been great.
Here's the cover. Done by Adrienne Quintana. Tell me what you think. I still have the chance to make a few tweaks to the design before it's published. I love it, but what thoughts do you have on it? The good news is that the election is over. The bad news is that life as we knew it is over as well. What happens next is going to happen fast. Government (both Democrat and Republican), big tech, the media, and the progressive movement want to divide the people. They want to strip all power from anyone who doesn’t accept their views. Obviously, that means the conservatives and the moderates, but surprisingly it includes factions within the movement. Mayor Bowser is already pushing to make D.C. a state within the first 100 days of the Biden presidency. A move that will ensure that Democrats will permanently control both Congress and the Senate. This will eliminate the ability of conservatives to push for laws they want and to have their voices heard. The Left is calling for expanding the number of seats on the Supreme Court. Another maneuver intended to weaken conservatives. This specific course of action will make it impossible for anyone disagreeing with the establishment to have their grievances fairly heard or to stop the unconstitutional activities of those in government. It is another prong of the attack to have opposing voices silenced. Big Tech and the media are going all out to do their part in subjugating the American citizens they hate. Here’s a partial list:
The people of the United States, and even the world, are being divided. That shouldn’t be a surprise. It was meant to happen. The great divide will continue to happen. It cannot be stopped. It is part of God’s plan. These events separate the wheat from the tares. This is a necessary step towards the Second Coming of Jesus. Doctrine and Covenants, Section 1: 13-14 13. And the anger of the Lord is kindled, and his sword is bathed in heaven, and it shall fall upon the inhabitants of the earth. 14. And the arm of the Lord shall be revealed; and the day cometh that they who will not hear the voice of the Lord, neither the voice of his servants, neither give heed to the words of the prophets and apostles, shall be cut off from among the people. (Image courtesy of The Western Journal) Last week, a mob stormed the Capital. Violence ensued and, at least, 4 people died. Violence is not the solution. I condemn the actions of those individuals who broke the law. But, this event did something else as well. It broke the system. It showed us that we cannot expect help from the Republican party. The Republicans will not save us. What we need is to form the Constitutionalist Party. Maybe we don’t need to name it exactly that, but we need to all of the people who believe the Constitution is a divinely inspired plan for a good and fair government to gather under that banner. Conservatives. Moderates. Liberals. All of us who recognize the Constitution as the best set of rules we have to live peacefully together. We don’t need two parties that divide us based on our beliefs. What we need is to work together, in one party, to make decisions. Allow conservatives to disagree with liberals and moderates. Allow liberals to offer ideas that the other two groups might not normally consider. Allow moderates to use their in-the-middle mindset to find potential flaws in the suggestions the two ends of the spectrum make. Working together, we can use our differences to make decisions that will work the best for everyone. My second suggestion is to move to platforms where freedom of speech still exists. Support these platforms. If you wait until you are banned and censored it maybe too late to do anything about it. Then none of us will have the right to be heard. Parler is an alternate social platform. As the censorship increases on Facebook, Twitter, and the other progressive platforms, I see more and more people migrating to Parler. President Trump has hinted about taking steps towards providing alternative places for the American people to be heard. Support that effort. Of course, you may have to be on Parler or subscribed directly to one of the conservative feeds to hear anything about that. And finally, embrace opposing ideas. You don’t have to accept their views, but embrace the beauty of a world where people can disagree and then, by working through those differences, we come up with truly great ideas that work for all of us instead of some of us. My wife and I don’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues. I have friends in the arts community who have vastly different political views from myself. We don’t try to silence one another. We respect the right for the other to believe something different. And the great thing about that is they often present ideas to me that I would have never considered. Sometimes, better ideas. At other times, their views give me a new perspective that sets me off on a new line of thought that eventually leads to a solution I never would have considered without their input. A person isn’t bad because they think differently from us. They are just different. The Christmas Star occurred two weeks ago and I believe that marked a turning point it what we can expect to see in our daily lives. That was the topic of my last blog. Today, is about what has happened since then.
These events may not appear important, but the division of people that we can expect during the apocalypse has to start somewhere. In the case of the vandalism of Nancy Pelosi’s house, we already have an event that looks like a scene out of dystopian or apocalyptic movie. (Image courtesy of Daily Caller.) However, my focus for this column isn’t on the events themselves, but on what we should be doing in response. First, Don’t Join the Madness. No matter what your stance on any of the issues that are triggering violent protests, participating in these violent events only makes the situation worse. This applies to online discussions as well. Heated arguments will not win anyone over to your way of thinking. It only elevates the level of tension between the participants. Second, while others divide, we need to join together. Form new groups of support or expand the ones you already have. This doesn’t mean to form groups with the intent of opposing the groups that already exist who you oppose. Form neighborhood support groups where you can talk about the problems in the area and develop solutions that will improve the quality of life where you live. Form book clubs. Form groups designed to find ways to cope with apocalypse-related stress. You can even form, my favorite, service project groups. There’s plenty wrong with the world today. Work with others to help people in need. And . . . PRAY. During the months and years ahead, we are all going to need help from The Big Guy Upstairs. Prayer has a calming effect on those who participate. Prayer invites inspiration from Heavenly Father. Inspiration that may well give us the solutions to the problems we will face. And prayer reminds us that we are on God’s side. Psalm 23: 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Last Monday, the Christmas Star appeared. In this case, the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn occurred at sunset in Arizona. Is this the same Christmas Star that we read about in the Bible? I’m not sure. I had always thought it to be the appearance of a new star in the heavens. But I feel the important point is that a rare astrological event took place in the heavens last week.
The significance of this event is that it falls on the midpoint between two solar eclipses, which cross the North American continent. In 2017, the first of the two solar eclipses took place. The second eclipse will happen April 8, 2024. In terms of meaningful celestial signs, I believe this represents a turning point. This year, 2020, has been tough and rather than taking a turn for the better, this midpoint event likely heralds an era where events get much worse. I can hear you out there saying, “Thanks. That’s just the kind of news I needed to hear.” But this post isn’t about focusing on the negative. If I’m correct, 2021 will be a horrendous year with more of everything we saw this year . . . amplified. And some new tribulations to boost. The year ahead of us could well be the one that hears the first of the seven trumpets sounded. The trumpets sounded by the angels mentioned in Revelation. Revelation 8: 2-7 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. Again, I hear you, “None of this is making me feel any better.” Discussion about the grim portents of what might happen isn’t going boost our morale. But what I plan to do with the news this coming year might help. Rather than continue with my Apocalypse posts about how close to the end we really are, I have decided to flip the light switch on and focus on the positive as well as offering suggestion on how we can all get through 2021 safe and sane. With that in mind, I wish all an interesting and spirit-filled New Year. One of the difficulties I had in writing the third book in The Gathering series was figuring out a way for China to invade the United States. Loading troops onto naval ships and military aircraft is not feasible because China does not have enough ships and plans to land an effective invasion force. It doesn’t help that a traditional invasion strategy would be apparent as soon as the Chinese launched their ships towards the United States. Our naval and air forces would easily stop the invasion before any of the troops could reach our shores. Whatever creative solution I found to put a Chinese invasion force on American soil had to have a chance of succeeding and it had to make sense. It seems that all I had to do was to look towards Canada for the perfect situation. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau invited the Chinese military to train with the Canadian Armed Forces, on Canadian soil. Image courtesy of NewsPatrolling.com The articles I’ve read doesn’t give a number of troops that were expected to participate, but whatever size of the force, it places them right on our border. No need to go through the elaborate plan that I devised for my story. And it doesn’t need to be a full-sized army. It only needs to be enough troops to seize a dozen, or so, key locations along the West Coast. Portland immediately comes to mind. Civil unrest in that city and calls to defund the police make it a tempting target for a Chinese invasion. Many citizens of Portland may even welcome a communist regime controlling the city. Crazy idea? Maybe. But not any crazier than the country being shut down, for months, by the pandemic. Not any crazier than the idea of defunding the police. And not any crazier than an election that has been heavily influenced by China and the U.S. companies being manipulated by China. Canada. C’mon, man. I thought you were our ally? You can read more about this at Epoch Times. Here's the link. https://bit.ly/3oIH48F If the recent events surrounding the election doesn’t scare you . . . then you need to pay more attention to the situation. This article is based on Glen Beck’s report on the 7 Pillars of Color Revolution. You can check out the details of that plan with the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NinaMqgqctc Here is a brief explanation of the plan that the State Department uses to flip countries to a government more in line with our, the United States, goals and our advantage. 1) A Fascist regime. The idea is to replace the bad guy in charge. If you look objectively at the evidence, it is obvious that the United States is not a fascist regime and President Trump is not Semi-Autocratic Despot. But the news networks and social media depict Trump as fascist and compares him to Hitler. They took great pains to paint Trump as a bad guy. 2) An Unpopular Leader. In order for a group to replace the current system of government, they must first ensure that the public wants to replace their leader for something they believe will be better for them. Look at how all of the news media depict President Trump. Look at the rules that are in place by all of the social media platforms. Views that talk about Trump in a negative way are allowed and those that support the President are often blocked and the accounts banned. This is an effort to turn Trump into an unpopular leader. 3) United and Organized Opposition. In order to have the current system of government replaced, there needs to be an organized resistance working against it. We have that in plenty. ANTIFA, Black Lives Matter, the news outlets, social media, and the Democratic party. All of these groups actively oppose the Republicans and specifically President Trump. 4) Effective System to Convince Public of Early Voter Fraud. This step is designed to undermine the populations confidence in the system. To convince them that a fair and democratic election is not possible and therefore they need to replace the current system for one that will work. Look at the content of the messages from the news outlets. The Democratic Party has been warning of voter fraud since this summer. This creates a predisposition that President Trump cannot legitimately win the election. 5) Media to Alert Citizens of Voter Fraud. This is where we are now in the battle plan to destroy the Constitution. It includes actual voter fraud to show the public that the election has been comprised. That the country needs to move to a new system because the current one is broken. Accusations of voter fraud abound. Ballots from dead people. A ballot from someone who would be 170 years old if they were still alive. A batch of over 120,000 ballots that are 100% for one candidate. You would think that anyone interested in cheating a win for their side would be a little more careful about how they worked the extra votes into the system. Unless, they want it widely known that voter fraud exists. 6) Political Opposition to Mobilize 1000s. We are at this part of the plan as well. Biden has threatened the use of military forces if Trump does not exit office in a timely manner. ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter have mobilized thousands to riot and terrorize the American citizens. Widespread looting and destruction of businesses occurs on a nightly basis. This step serves two purposes. The first to frightened the citizens and convince them to accept a new form of government that will protect them from the violence. The second is to put troops in the battlefield. Not all of the rioters are committed to the cause, but there are definitely thousands who consider themselves soldiers of the revolution. Not convinced, then watch this vide. https://bit.ly/369YRxT 7) Division Among Military and Police. If it is unclear who has actually won the election then law enforcement (police and the military) will be divided on who they should take their orders. This prevents the forces that we rely upon to stop the chaos from doing their job. It leaves us without adequate protection and could even result in the force of good being used against one another and the good citizens of the country. All of this sets the stage for the new regime to take over. Listen to what is said on the news and by the Democratic Party. That is exactly what they are proposing. And before you suggest that the Democratic Party is part of the current regime, take a look what they plan to do if they win the election. Pack the Supreme Court. Add more states to the Union. Get rid of the filibuster. All of these are designed to ensure that the new and radical Democratic Party remains in charge of the country by preventing the minority from having any say in what happens. If they succeed, we will be living in a dystopian movie. What’s the point? We are the heroes of our own story. We are the heroes of this story. Brace yourself for the revolution. And let’s work together to keep America the land of the free. Sometimes, the events that happen on any given day result in me making rather strange connections. In this case, it happened to be a combination of the election and my choice to see the movie, Love and Monsters. If you’re scratching your head, wondering how those two things could possibly be connected, then you are on the normal side of the weirdness spectrum. I decided to take a couple of my children and see Love and Monsters this week. Boy, I’m glad I did. The film was a treat. Great story. Great message. And good acting. The premise is original. Or, at least, original enough when you consider that there are only seven stories to be told with a vastly wide range of details to separate them. For Love and Monsters, the details involved a boy and a girl, a quest to reunite said boy and girl, and a landscape filled with mutated monsters. What does any of that have to do with the election? As I drove home, after the movie, it struck me that the movie unintentionally represented the situation we find ourselves in the real world. The votes have been cast, but the election is a long way from being over. Riots are taking place in many of our cities. In some cases, the riots have continued for over 140 days. Then throw in the shutdown due to the pandemic and we have a situation that is different from the movie only in form, but not in threat. The mammoth monsters in the movie have real-world counterparts in corrupt politicians, scheming news outlets, and social media giants. While the monsters in our lives are not likely to employ physical violence against us (unless we are caught in the path of a peaceful-protest) they are all too eager to consume our souls. To mutate us into social monsters. Listen carefully and you will hear talk of taking the war against law and order to the streets. Plans to step up the game to include targeted violence against anyone who dares for rights given to the American public through the Constitution. The monsters we face are just as scary as the ones depicted in the movie. Maybe more so. Afterall, we expect the monsters in the movie to attack us. It’s in the nature of giant, mutated insects and reptile to hunt us. But in real life we expect more from the brotherhood of man. Don’t we? (Spoiler Alert!) In the movie, our hero learns that family is who loves us. And sometimes we just have to bond with those around us. Make no mistake, we are surrounded by monsters. It is important to stick together for protection. In the days ahead, violence will continue to escalate. We cannot face the monsters alone. Turn to your neighbors. Turn to your friends. Turn to the members of you church congregations. Together, you and your family of choice can overcome the challenges the future holds. Together, you can defeat the monsters. And together, we can work toward a good and fulfilling life in a dark age. Eventually, the apocalypse will pass away and the good and noble members of humanity will remain to build a world more beautiful than any we have ever seen. P.S. If the current political environment has you down, go watch Love and Monsters to see what I’m talking about. With the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the appointment of her replacement on the Supreme Court has taken center stage in the political arena. As I have mentioned in my previous articles, the Apocalypse Blog isn’t about making a political statement. These are the thoughts of an author who writes stories about the end of the world and how the current events seem to fit . . . unfortunately . . . into that theme. There are certainly a lot of ways to incite a civil war and leaving the Supreme Court with a 4 – 4 split is one of them. (More on that in a moment.) But the path to the apocalypse is likely to involve several schisms rather than a war over a single issue. State versus state. City versus city. And even neighborhood versus neighborhood. To have disruption and division at this level requires multiple issues that people feel strongly enough about to use violence. Water rights and power shortages are potential sources for civil war if these critical resources are not shared between cities and states to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Local ordinances, that are becoming a source of increasingly volatile dispute, have the potential to set neighborhoods against one another. But the one I’m going to discuss today is the division of a country should the Supreme Court be left incomplete.
There can be no doubt that the current Presidential election will need to draw upon the power of the Supreme Court to resolve the legality of the results. Massive mail in balloting opens the door for either side to dispute the outcome of the election and it will fall on the Supreme Court to rule on what is legal and binding. It seems obvious that, no matter the results, both sides will claim their candidate is the legitimate winner. Both political parties will accuse the other of attempting to steal the election through fraud. They may even go as far as to both point to the same evidence as part of the underhanded tactics of their opponent. In this situation, a tied vote in the Supreme Court will rip the country apart. And this is how that will look. Both parties move forward with the conviction that they represent the legitimate winner of the election and have the right to command the powers of the highest office in the land. Which of course means that neither side recognizes the claims of the other. Both sides call upon their loyal citizens to do what is right and oppose the usurpers. Political factions clash in the streets. People fight. Buildings burn. People die. Oddly enough, the Corona Virus might turn out to be a blessing in this situation. Less people are in offices and other public locations which might otherwise be among the battlegrounds for this opening volley of the war. Order must be restored. Both sides call upon the police and military forces loyal to them. I suspect that most of the Armed Services will side with the conservative party and the President in currently in office. If for no other reason than he remains the Commander-In-Chief until the official transfer of the office to a legitimate winner. But National Guard units might be more willing to side with the local governments. Texas will undoubtedly fight for Texas as will several other states. And that means CIVIL WAR 2.0. Without a fully-functional court of appeals the loudest proponents of each side will whip the country into a frenzy and fall upon one another with vicious intent. When that happens – not if – God help us all. |
